Mount Buller is just 45 minutes drive away (30 minutes to the base, 45 minutes to the top). It has attractions for everyone all year round. Skiing and snowboarding are obviously the highlights in Winter, and Summer experiences include bushwalking, mountain biking and hiking.
Mount Stirling
Perfect for cross country skiing during winter, Mount Stirling is also a stunning destination for bushwalking, fishing, horse riding and four wheel driving.
Mansfield Zoo
Based 10 minutes away from Lake Lodge, the Mansfield Zoo has a large collection of exotic and native animals on display, including White Lions, African Lions, Monkeys, Alligators, Ostriches, Camels, Wombats, Kangaroos, Emus and Deers.
Bonnie Doon
The town made famous by the film 'The Castle', Bonnie Doon offers a couple of pubs and restaurants as well as boat ramps. Take a scenic walk along the Bonnie Doon Bridge with near 360 degree views of beautiful Lake Eildon.
Mansfield Town
Mansfield is the district's town centre, and is where most major events take place. It's just 5 minutes away from Lake Lodge. The town has a wonderful range of cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs, and regularly hosts regional events and regular markets.
Jamieson
A beautiful little town sitting at the junction of the Goulburn and Jamieson Rivers, there are a couple of cafes, a museum and art gallery, as well as the Jamieson Brewery. The Jamieson Brewery is famous for its beer, and home made fudge. Fishing is also a popular activity in this quiet community. Nearby is a wonderful lookout onto Lake Eildon
Lake Eildon
Lake Lodge sits right on the shore of Lake Eildon! Lake Eildon contains 6 times as much water as Sydney Harbour. It is a massive, sprawling lake that is full of character and history. Locals and tourists flock to the Lake for boating, swimming, fishing and waterskiing.
Lake Nillahcootie
Lake Nillahcootie offers picnic spots by the lake, as well as a boat ramp. Activities include boating, swimming, fishing and waterskiing.
